We are certified by the Birmingham Water Works and The University of Florida TREEO Center. We are the most affordable backflow test company at $49.95. Some companies charge as much as $350.00 to test your backflow assembly. They do no better job than us they just have a lot of overhead. We do the same thing the other guys do and even more.
We will complete your backflow test, fill out the necessary paperwork, and email them to the Birmingham Water Works. We will keep you in our data base and notify you annually when it is time to do your next test.
Backflow devices protect our drinking water by preventing lawn sprinkler water, swimming pool water, boiler water, etc.,from getting into our water supply. They fail at the rate of 3% because they have rubber and plastic moving parts inside them that wear out and trash may get stuck in them. These parts move every time you turn your water on. The Birmingham Water Works requires that your backflow device be working properly.
You can help us keep our price the lowest by signing up on our website for the test, paying the day of service, keeping your backflow box clean, and tell your friends and neighbors about us.Best Regards,

What if I get another letter from the Birmingham Water Works?
The Birmingham Water Works mail letters the first of every month. You should have your backflow device tested when you receive the first letter. When we test your backflow device we send the test report in immediately. If you have waited until the end of the month to have your device tested you will most likely receive another letter. This does not mean your device wasn't tested or we didn't send in the required test report. The Birmingham Water Works computer system will generate another letter if the report was not entered in their system before the 25th day of the month. A second letter will be mailed giving you another 30 days to have your backflow device tested. If you do not have your device tested after receiving the second letter a third and final letter will be sent to you giving you 10 days to have your device tested. If you disregard the final letter your water may be interrupted until you have the device tested. What is backflow?
Backflow is the backward movement of normal water flow in a water pipe system. This can result from a drop in a customer's water pressure or from suction in the water supply caused by a break in the water distibution piping. This can cause contaminants to drain back into the drinking water supply like your water pipes that feeds your home. What kind of backflow assembly or assembly do I need?
A Double Check valve assembly is installed for low hazard conditions like your residential home. A Reduced Pressure Zone assembly is installed for high hazard conditions like a commercial car wash. Most backflow assemblies are located at your water meter connection or property line. Why do backflow assemblies and preventers have to be tested?
Mechanical backflow assemblies and preventers have internal check valves, seals, springs and moving parts that wear over time. Three percent test defective and need replacing or re-building. These assemblies and preventers have to be tested annually to ensure that they are working properly and are protecting the water supply. Will my water be turned off if I do not have my backflow device tested and maintained?
Yes, the water provider (Birmingham Water Works Board)has the right as provided by their regulations and by Alabama Department Environmental Management section 335-7-9.05. Discontinuance of Service....The supplier of water shall deny or discontinue water service to a customer if a required backflow prevention device is not installed or properly maintained.
